Short stories are great. But the reason I did a little happy dance inside my head when Xcite books asked me to start reviewing for them, it was because I am a person who likes to read. A lot. Big, fat novels.

I am also a person who loves BDSM. Mistress of Torment by Alex Jordaine was perfectly suited for me. It doesn’t qualify as a big fat novel, but it’s definitely a fully fleshed out tale. Beginning, middle, end.

I’ll let you click through to their site to read the full synopsis. Basically we have a guy who has been longing for a mistress and he stumbles his way into one. Big time. Aside from the hot scenes, this kept me turning pages because I was dying to see how the story would wrap up in the end.

But let us not dismiss the hot scenes.

Remember how in my last review I lamented over the lack of boy/boy action? Yeah. That issue was solved with this book. This delivered up all kinds of hot boy on boy action as slaves were taken to task by the mistresses. And there was definitely torment involved. Some of the scenes made me squirm in my seat a little, unable to escape the pangs of sympathy pain.

This is the kind of long form erotica I love. Plot and story are never sacrificed to speed you along to the next sex scene. You’re taken there naturally. But when you get there, it’s full on no holds barred. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who likes a little BDSM in their erotica. If you’re squeamish about such things, you should probably leave it on the shelf.
